Henan Shanshui Heavy Industry Independently Develops and Produces Automated Solar Panel Recycling Equipment with a Glass Recycling Rate of 99%

Recently, Henan Shanshui Heavy Industry Technology Co., Ltd. officially launched its independently developed and manufactured automated Solar Panel recycling equipment at its own intelligent manufacturing plant in Zhengzhou. This equipment, leveraging three core patented technologies independently developed by the company, achieves efficient separation of retired photovoltaic panel glass and metal materials, with a 99% recycling rate for granular glass. Its processing efficiency is 25 times higher than traditional equipment, marking a significant step forward for this local heavy industry company in successfully entering the new energy and environmental protection sector, injecting new momentum into the construction of Henan's waste recycling system.

According to the company's R&D head, the equipment's development, from technical conception and design to core component production, was entirely completed independently by Henan Shanshui Heavy Industry's own R&D team and production workshop. Its core breakthrough lies in its independently developed integrated heating pretreatment and precision scraping technology: a heating module produced in-house softens the encapsulating adhesive layer, and then a CNC scraping blade assembly precisely peels off the glass panel, with the resulting granular glass falling directly into the collection hopper for recycling.

“Compared to the powdery waste generated by traditional equipment, the granular glass we developed can be directly supplied to local photovoltaic glass companies for reprocessing, perfectly meeting the supporting needs of Henan's photovoltaic industry chain. This design also echoes the industrial layout of Luoyang and Xuchang, the two core photovoltaic areas,” the person in charge added.

Currently, the equipment is being piloted in the factory, with a single unit processing an average of 200 decommissioned photovoltaic panels per day, reducing processing costs by 50% compared to manual methods. Industry experts point out that Henan Shanshui Heavy Industry, by achieving a breakthrough in the entire process from R&D to production through its own factory, has become a model of cross-industry innovation for local heavy industry enterprises. After the large-scale application of this equipment, it is expected to increase the utilization rate of photovoltaic waste in northern Henan to over 80%, helping Henan to build a nationally important waste recycling industrial base.
