South Korean Clients Visit Henan Shanshui Heavy Industry to Intend to Order Solar Panel Recycling Equipment

Recently, a delegation of South Korean environmental protection companies traveled across the ocean to Henan Shanshui Heavy Industry Technology Co., Ltd. to conduct on-site research on the Solar Panel recycling and processing equipment production line. An intention to purchase the solar panel recycling equipment production line was reached on-site, demonstrating the international competitiveness of China's environmental protection equipment.              

The delegation focused on observing the operation of the integrated production line for dismantling and removing glass from waste photovoltaic panels. In the intelligent workshop, retired photovoltaic panels enter the equipment via an automatic feeding system. First, a high-precision dismantling machine completely separates the aluminum frame, then an environmentally friendly glass removal machine peels off the glass. Finally, the solar panel recycling equipment accurately sorts materials such as silicon silver powder, EVA adhesive, and copper. "The equipment can achieve a material recycling rate of over 98%, and the entire process is dust-free, fully complying with EU environmental standards," said Kim Min-cheol, head of the delegation, after on-site calculations. He added that its automation level is 40% higher than existing equipment in South Korea.

As a high-tech enterprise specializing in the research and development of photovoltaic recycling equipment, Shanshui Heavy Industry's technological advantages became key to the cooperation. The company's equipment employs a physical separation process, coupled with an intelligent sorting system, which not only shortens the processing cycle by 60% but also reduces labor costs by 70%, perfectly meeting South Korea's needs in addressing the wave of decommissioning solar panels. The total amount of decommissioned solar panels globally is projected to exceed 3 million tons by 2025, and South Korea urgently needs specialized recycling equipment to build a circular economy system.

"This is a significant recognition of our technological strength," said Mr. Niu, head of Shanshui Heavy Industry. He explained that the company has already delivered more than 20 Solar Recycling production lines overseas, and this order from South Korea will incorporate the latest recycling technology, further expanding its market in East Asia.
